I won $4m lottery jackpot but I only got $200K due to a crucial decision – even the store that sold it to me gets a cut
A LOTTERY player scooped a massive $4,000,000 jackpot in a pre-Christmas treat.
Bienvenido Rosario of Lynn, Massachusetts played the “$4,000,000 Platinum Jackpot” $10 instant ticket game.
He was announced the winner on December 15 and has big plans for his winnings.
Rosario told lottery officials that he plans to build rental properties with the money he took home.
The man already owns land that he plans to build on.
However, he won't be seeing the $4 million right away.

Rosario opted for the annuity option, rather than the lump sum amount.
He will receive 20 annual payments and already took home his first payment of $200,000 before taxes.
Rosario bought the winning ticket at a D&M Variety store on 99 Commercial St. in Lynn, Massachusetts.
The store will also be receiving a cut of the winnings with a $40,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
